Kupwara, Apr 12 (KNO): The total number of positive cases in north Kashmir's Kupwara district is showing a steep with each passing day as three more suspects under quarantine tested positive for novel Coronavirus on Saturday taking total toll of active cases to 16.
According to Wire Service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), three more people under quarantine who tested positive are contacts of earlier positive cases. An official said that among the three positive cases, two belong to Muqam Shahwali and the other is actual resident of Bandipora but lives in Trehgam.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ansul Garg told KNO that two more positive cases who tested positive belong to Muqam Shahwali and the other from Bandipora and is currently residing in Trehgam area.
He said the trio are contacts of earlier positive cases, have been put under quarantine at COVID-19 hospital Kupwara and are stable. Administration is tracing the contacts of positive cases and actively surveillance the Red Zones, he said.
As per the official figures, With the afresh three positive cases in district kupwara the total number of active positive cases has gone up to 16 with no causality and recovery as on date—(KNO)
